Rick Caswell is an American singer-songwriter from northwest Ohio. His musical genre is a blend of rock, blues, americana and country. Rick's primary influences are Bob Dylan, Ray Lamontagne, Tom Waits, The Black Keys, Jack White and Johnny Cash. Elements of these musical styles and influences can be heard on Caswell's debut album (Devils' Descending).

Rick primarily plays acoustic guitar, bass and vocals and is accompanied on the Devils' Descending album by other Ohio musicians such as; Chuck Caswell (drums), Isaac Snyder (guitar), Peter Kharchenko (guitar), Meredith Caswell (backing vocals), Evan Bates (guitar), Kelsey Borkowski (drums), Mark Williams (drums), Dooley Wilson (slide guitar), Wes Linenkugal (organ), John Barile (banjo, guitar), Gino Demilio (accordian), Mark Karamol (backing vocals), George Leist (drums), and Nate Woodward (Organ). "The Passage" is DGM's eighth studio album and is the culmination of almost 20 years of hard work that started back in 1997 with the release of their self-produced mini-album, 'Random Access Zone'. The band went through several incarnations and lineup changes during the years, but since singer Mark Basile entered the group in 2007, DGM evolved and developed their sound into what they have now become.

It was probably the release of "Frame" (2007) that pushed the band into the top of the league of international prog metal. It was also on the strength of this material that DGM managed to tour for almost four years around the world, taking part in some of the biggest metal festivals, supporting Symphony X on their European tour, and sharing the stage with Pagan's Mind too. In 2013, DGM came back with "Momentum", an album which showed the full stylistic maturity of a band which felt fully confident with their abilities, both on the songwriting and the musicianship side. The last album was promoted with more shows and after several gigs in Europe, they performed for the second time at the Prog Power USA and started their first Asian tour in November 2014 playing Beijing, Tokyo, Nagoya and Osaka as headliners.

The new album, "The Passage" is another substantial step forward for DGM. Sounding like a hungry, urbanized version of Symphony X, with substantial hard rock influences, the new record is remarkable in several aspects. The compositions are phenomenal, with sweeping choruses, technical passages, lightning fast fretwork, big vocals and bombastic transitions. The playing is simply faultless and the melodies are perfectly woven into the killer guitars, epic keyboards, and pounding drums!

Evergrey singer Tom Englund and Symphony X guitarist Michael Romeo appear as special guests on this outstanding album. And let's not forget the great job that producer Simone Mularoni did in the studio! The future looks bright for these guys! Check them out live when they come to a town near you!

Ben is a singer, songwriter, and guitarist hailing from Natchez, MS, a town rich in culture and history in a state rooted in the blues. With musicians on both sides of the family, he was exposed to a wide variety of music at a very early age. At age 10 he began playing trumpet, but found his true passion at age 12 when he was given his first hand-me-down guitar by his aunt. At age 17, Ben found himself playing Bass in the local bars and house parties with a group of friends who called themselves Double Shot. When he turned 18 in 2000, Ben joined the Marine Corps and spent the next 4 years serving at different duty stations across the country as well as one tour in Iraq. His last duty station landed him in eastern North Carolina where he helped form a hard rock band called Absynth. After an honorable discharge, he stayed on the Carolina coast playing at local bars and festivals for several years following. In the late summer of 2006, Ben moved back to Natchez, MS and reunited with former members of Double Shot, Jon Borum and Bob Buseck along with long time friend and drummer, Aaron O'Brien to form In Red Letters. IRL quickly gained popularity in the local bar scene with the release of their first and only album Beautiful World. In 2008, IRL played their biggest show at the Great Mississippi River Balloon Festival for the Friday night balloon glow. In Red Letters disbanded shortly after and Ben began his solo acoustic career in a familiar Natchez music venue the Under the Hill Saloon. It was here that Ben met many travelling musicians and went on the share the stage and studio with artists like Walker Lukens, the Battlefield Band, Grand Child, and the Kodiak Farm Boys, and has played venues in Austin, TX, Nashville, TN, Little Rock, AR, Baton Rouge, LA, and Birmingham, AL. In 2010, Ben recorded a short EP entitled "Friends" at a local studio in Natchez, MS. This EP featured guest appearances by many local musicians and friends he had made in his years playing in the area. He continued to tour the local area until 2014 when he moved to Little Rock, AR. Ben is currently working with Sharp Sound Design in Natchez on his long overdue full length album due to be released in 2016.

This album is part of a four part series showcasing Ron Levy as a composer and master musician. It is an anthology drawn from the various recordings Mr. Levy produced, arranged and played his signature sound on piano, electric piano, vibes, guitar and Hammond organ. Historically over the last twenty years, Ron has blended many different styles and genres into his own unique musical gumbo within each of his critically acclaimed and popular recordings.
