    Weird problem viewing imagevenue pictures

When viewing forum posts in the last couple of weeks or so, nearly all pictures hosted on "imagevenue" do not display their thumbnails (they just display as a box with a red x mark), and if you click on them they don't link to the picture. On average I'll get access to only about 10% of the pictures (if the thumbnail appears correctly, then it will still link to the picture).

At first I thought it was just a problem with my computer (Windows XP), but then I noticed the same thing on my girlfriends lap-top (Windows 7) too. In both cases I tried both Google Chrome and Internet Explorer, with the same result each time.

Anyone else having this problem, or know how to fix it?

    TIA....

It is literally any topic where posters have posted pictures hosted on imagevenue. It applies to other websites too, so I don't mean to frame this as an issue that only applies to glam0ur.com. I'm just a little perplexed; no one else seems to be reporting the issue as far as I'm aware.

I've just realised that it isn't a little red "x" mark, it is in fact a small circle and a couple of small triangles within a rectangle. I seem to remember seeing these shapes appear as an icon to indicate a failure to display an image properly - for instance where you follow a link to an image that may have been deleted.

I've tried to attach a screenshot showing a typical view of a post with thumbnails linking to imagevenue hosted pictures, but there seems to be a problem ("the image uploader is full, please try a smaller file" - I reduced the file size to 56kB and still got that message....).

Dude.......it sounds like your browser and/or your browser-internet settings.
Go into Internet options on your control panel and loosen up your settings, and do the same on your browser.
Try Mozilla Firefox........it is by far the best browser, and you should not have any problems at all. ;)

Appreciate your responses so far, however installing Firefox has not solved the problem (although it is a much nicer browser).

As I have said, I get the same problem using a different computer, with a different OS. The ten percent of thumbnails that do display properly are always the same - ie. when I return to a forum page to check whether the problem has sorted itself out yet, it is always the same thumbnails that work properly, and the same ones that fail.

My suspicion is that it relates either to my geographic location, or my internet provider. However, I am pretty clueless about these things to be honest....

This is what I get if I try to follow the link to a problem picture:

    "The connection has timed out
The server at img182.imagevenue.com is taking too long to respond.

The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few
    moments.
If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network
    connection.
If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure
that Firefox is permitted to access the Web."

Nothing wrong with the network connection - or at least I don't think so, as I am able to access this forum page and leave a post. Given that I can do that, I'm assuming that Firefox must be permitted by the firewall to access the web.

all images at imagevenue seem to be working fine for me and i'm using IE-8, even when i use firefox they still work fine
for me. perhaps your internet cache needs to be deleted. It might pay to run your virus protection program as well you
might have a trojan in your computer/laptop stopping you viewing images properly.
